CEO of Sun resigns via Twitter.
On Wednesday night Sun Microsystems Jonathan Schwartz resigined from the company and did it in the most unique way via Twitter.
This is what he posted on his Twitter page. To follow him on Twitter @OpenJonathan
Today's my last day at Sun. I'll miss it. Seems only fitting to end on a #haiku. Financial crisis/Stalled too many customers/CEO no more
Just days after Oracle consummated its $7.4 billion acquisition of struggling Sun and announced an aggressive plan to hire some 2,000 employees, the embattled Schwartz called it quits.
"Today's my last day at Sun. I'll miss it. Seems only fitting to end on a #haiku. Financial crisis/Stalled too many customers/CEO no more" said Schwartz, who has effectively used a blog and Twitter to communicate with employees and Sun followers.
Then again, Schwartz didn't have much of a choice. Oracle CEO Larry Ellison told one interviewer last week that he expected Schwartz to resign.
