Google Latitude: How does it work

Latitude is a new feature on Google Maps allowing you to see where your friends and family are on a map and easily keep in touch with them. To get started you can send an invite to a friend or accept is they ask you. The good thing about it is that you have complete control over your privacy while using the service. By adding your friends to Google Latitude you can see where they are on a map.

Google Maps can be used on your mobile phone or on iGoogle on your PC. So you can share with friends or family either on you mobile phone of your PC.

To get started with Latitude just go to www.google.com/latitude from your phone's browser or your PC.

Google Latitude can be used on  Android-powered devices, such as the T-Mobile G1, iPhone and iPod touch devices. This service is free from Google; carrier charges may apply.
