Facebook is all about sharing and on Facebook you do have an option to add an alternate name in addition to your real name. This is for people who where more popular by their nick names or pet names. You know how it is there are many people that grow up being known by names that where not the names they were given at birth.

Sometimes it is really funny to find out a person's real name. After years of knowing someone by a certain name you finally discover that that is not their real name. How to add an alternate name on Facebook

1. login to Facebook

2. Click on Account

3. Click on Account Settings

4. Beside 'Name' click on 'Change'

5. You find the option to "Add Full Alternate Name'
