Facebook Top Stories Privacy Settings


Now Facebook has decided that they will help out when it comes to top stories. So based on their algorithms, namely how many likes and comments a story receives. It will be displayed as a top story. Now each story that appears on your news feed will be at your mercy. You can choose to unmark a top story as not important, hide story or report it as spam. So let us look at this a little more closely. 




How to adjust your news feed, top stories and recent stories privacy settings.

1. Login to Facebook

2. Hover over the right-hand corner of a story

3. Click on the drop-down arrow that appears

4. You get the following options

a. Unmark as top story

b. Hide story

c. report story as spam



5. Subscribe to: Here you can decide whether to receive all updates from this person or most updates or only important updates.



6. Unsubscribe from status updates from this person or totally unsubscribe from that person and not receive anything at all.

  1. It seems like all people in the world have got the new update except me. I am really curious with all the changes but can’t experience them now. Anyways, thanks for letting me know about the new features, they look really great.
