Google+ being fun to use is very encouraging to post and update especially public posts. You tend to be seen more and might even get more people who want to add you to circles. It is therefore important for you to know what happens when your posts are public on Google+. Google+ allows you to share privately and there are many options for that. This post is just a beginners guide to Google+ and for those who do not know what happens when they post publicly.

When you posts on Google+ are public this is what happens.

1. Your posts can be seen by anyone, even if they are not logged into Google+

2. Your post can show up in Google Search results

3. If you post shows up in a Google search result, your profile is also automatically linked to the post.

4. If your public posts show up in Google search results that means your comments also show up. So if you are commenting on a public post you would need to know that even those comments can be found on Google.
