The New Twitter App for BlackBerry Handsets
Research in motion has now created a new Twitter App for BlackBerry handsets. The client has been tested internally by RIM since February and is now available to the public in it's beta version.
The Client allows BlackBerry users to instantly receive and reply to @ messages in real-time. The layout has also been optimized for smaller screens. Links are automatically shortened and so you do not have to visit and third party site. The App can also run in the background allowing users to continue with their normal surfing activities and keep tabs on their Twitter homepage.
Currently the client has no support for trending topics but RIM hopes to add this in the coming months.
Oh and users can use their BlackBerry cameras to take pictures and share them via the client.
Here is the list of things you can do with the BlackBerry Client.
• Push Notifications for Direct Messages

Blackberry App World Launches in Australia and New Zealand
Addicts of Blackberry in Australia and New Zealand received an early Christmas present with the launch of Blackberry App World.
Maybe this will get Blackberry sales up in the land down under while the iPhone goes on walkabout. You never know. Hey at least you’ve learned something new about that part of the world. Something that has nothing to do with Nicole Kidman hailing from there, Mad Max movies, kangaroos or vegemite.
BlackBerry App World can be accessed over both Wi-Fi® and mobile phone networks in Australia and New Zealand and can be downloaded directly to the smartphone.
To download the Aussie version of BlackBerry App World, all you need to do is go to www.blackberry.com/appworld or http://mobile.blackberry.com/ from your device’s browser.
