PetVille design a pumpkin Halloween Contest

PetVille has announced a new contest for Halloween. The design a pumpkin contest will have three winners chosen by the PetVille team.Top 3 images chosen by the PetVille team will be added to the game as Giftable/Coin Halloween Decorations. In addition each of the three winners will receive 100 pet cash and 1 of each pumpkin. This is a great chance for users to have their creations added to the game as giftable and coin Halloween decorations. The rules for the contest are simple and we are adding the rules below as a guide. 

The Rules:

• One design entry per person. You may submit up to 3 images of your single design.


• 
  You must post your entry to this thread. Please[click here]to see this guide on how to post images
  


• You can submit your designs as a digital image that you created using paint or other design program, a scanned or digital photo of a carved pumpkin or even ASCII art.


• The submitted design must be owned and created by you. "Borrowing" other people's designs is grounds for disqualification. Copywritten characters are NOT allowed under any circumstances.


• Disqualified entries may be removed from the submission thread.


• No insulting or making negative comments about other contest entries, this will not be allowed and may result in the disqualification of your entry.


• All entries must be posted in this thread by: October 10, 2010 at 12:00 AM (PST)

The Prizes:

• Top 3 images chosen by the PetVille team will be added to the game as Giftable/Coin Halloween Decorations.


• Each of the 3 winners will receive 1 of each pumpkin and 100 Pet Cash.

* Please be aware that Facebook images will not post here on the forums if you have specific permissions set. We recommend uploading all images to an image host such as imageshack or Jing.

How to build a yard in PetVille

PetVille has announced new Yards for your pet house. There is a simple way to get started and you can also help your friends get started by sending them free gifts. The new yard store is also open and ready for business with materials to help decorate your yard.

How to Build a yard.
There are 5 different kinds of material that you will need.
Collect each of 10 yard building materials for a total of 50 items
Each of your friends can send you different kinds of materials
Extra yard material can be purchased from the yard window


How to get started.
To get started you would need to click on the new yard icon on the right side of your house.

There will be a progress sign while you are constructing your yard.

You get one wheelbarrow of dirt to help you get started. Your yard will contain a wooden sign with a green button on it. Click this button to use the materials you have collected. This button can be used anytime you have new materials to use.

Materials:

Once you have used up all your materials you would need to click on the "Get Supplies" button in your yard to bring up the materials window. In this window you can see how many more materials you would need, buy more materials, or ask your friends to send you more materials.

Send your friends yard materials for free and ask them to send some back to you.

Sending Materials:

Each pet can send 2 of the 5 materials you will need. These materials that you gift are determined randomly, so you will need the help of a few friends to collect all of the 5 different kinds of materials that you will need.

Once your done:

Once you finish building your yard you can then begin to decorate. Visit the new yard store to find decorations. Click on the world icon to visit the brand new yard store.

Petville launches Valentine's Day clothing for your pet.

Make your pet feel extra loveable with new Valentine’s Day clothing and decorations! You can dress your pet up as Cupid complete with wings, bow and arrow!

That's the tag line that Petville has used to announce the new feature on their official Facebook fan page.

With all the hype of Valentine's day Petville wants to make sure that you pet is going to feel nice and lovable this Valentine's day. Of course your pet needs to feel the love and if you are lonely this Valentine's day you now know who to shower your love on.

Petville Pet Cash and Diamond Disco coming soon.

It has been reported by games.com that PetCash will soon be coming to Petville.

There's already coins in PetVille, and Pet Cash will be harder to come by -- and be required to buy extra fancy clothes and household items for your pets.

Games such as FarmVille and Pet Society have similar two-pronged virtual payment system -- coins, which can be earned by playing the game, and cash, which usually requires a player to plop down a credit card to purchase, which is then used to buy rare or "premium" items in a game.

Most likely the Diamond Disco Collection, also set to arrive this week, will include items that can be purchased for Pet Cash only.
