Simon Fuller create of American Idol has spoken about his new reality project 'If I can dream". The show is going to a first of a kind. The show will debut in early 2010 and will feature five participants. A musician, an actor, two actresses and a model.Who will be sharing a Hollywood Hills house as they try to beak into the entertainment industry.
Viewers from around the world will be able to watch the participants lice 24/7 on the shows website. While Hulu will steam a weekly recap episode at the end of each week.
Viewers can interact with the participants in real-time using Twitter, Myspace or Facebook. If a participant drops out for any reason another audition will be conducted via Myspace.
This will be the first major production aimed at social media. This highlights the growing importance of social media. Shows that a big time were only made for TV. Now web based reality show maybe the thing of the future. Am sure it's not going to cost as much as producing something for TV. Another aspect is trimming. Unlike traditional shows this show can be watched by anyone across the Globe at any time. Not only that they would be able to interact with the participants. taking reality shows to a whole different level. Here's to the future of social web reality shows.
